Windows 7/Windows 2008 R2 – Group Policy Reference Spreadsheet

Microsoft as recently released it’s traditional spreadsheet with information for Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 group policies.

This Excel document has all the group policies available to configure Windows 7/2008 R2 and additionally also have information about Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2 and earlier service packs, Windows XP Professional with SP2 and earlier service packs, and Windows 2000 with SP4 and earlier service packs.

Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 Available!

MDT 2010 was finally released today.

After lots of months, bugs fixed, new improvements and a lot of users feedback reading, the final version of MDT 2010 was released for everyone.

This new MDT 2010 makes it possible to deploy the new Windows 7 and Windows 2008 using the usual litetouch and zerotouch deployment features.

More then a tool, MDT is a complete framework that permits you to plan Windows deployment from one point to another with a lot of documentation to help you.

MDT 2010 RC made available

The most probably last milestone, before final version, of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 went out for Release Candidate (RC).

After a lot of feedback, some of the improvements on the version are:

• Access deployment shares from anywhere on the network and replicate files and settings across organizational boundaries or sites.
• Organize and manage drivers, operating systems, applications, packages and task sequences with an improved UI.
• Automate all UI functionality utilizing the new Windows PowerShell^TM.

This new versions already support Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 RTM versions.

Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 Beta 2 Released

Finally the new beta version of MDT 2010 is available through download.

This new version makes it possible to deploy Windows 7 RC and Windows 2008 R2 RC.
